Pinnacle formed through multiple mergers of anesthesia groups over the past 15 years.
The latest step in this developmental process occurred in May 1999 when North Texas Anesthesia Consultants and DFW Anesthesia Associates, P.A. combined forces to form Pinnacle Anesthesia Consultants. This positioned Pinnacle Anesthesia to be the anesthesia leader in the Greater Dallas market and one of the largest physician anesthesia practices in the country. An elected governing board has overall responsibility for the strategic direction of Pinnacle and is supported by a team of experts in group practice administration, managed care contracting, compliance and risk management. Pinnacle is comprised of approximately 200 board-certified anesthesiologists, over 150 Allied Health Professionals, and over 200 other supporting positions (Billing, Scheduling, Collections, Demographics, Credentialing, Accounting, Finance, and Human Resources).
